[Dot image] Floating Ball Description

Full video data capability with 360‹viewing angle

Each LED g.imageh cube is independent, and has 360-degree viewing angle.
With full color depth (8bit per R, G, B), 1 unit represents 1 pixel of movie data. You can produce large 3D motion images by linking multiple units that the audience can view in halls.

Lightweight units provide high speed movement of free form images
The LED g.imageh cubes are suspended from trusses above the stage. The motors drive them vertically providing movement to the 3D images. Units are lightweight (about 200g per cube) and the high speed movement capability (5m/s), provide you with the ability easily program the motion of complex objects. For example, the rippling of a water surface, the beating of a birds' wings, the morphing of geometric forms, and more.

9 Nichia full color LEDs per unit
Nichia lamp, 9 full color LEDs are mounted on 1 unit. They provide effective brightness and full illumination.

    DMX512 & CAN control
Each unit has 1 DMX512 input and 6 attributes, Red | Green | Blue | Height (Course) | Height (Fine) | Reset. Daisy chain connection is also available. If the units are daisy chained communications between the units are processed using the CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol. This is the same protocol used to control in-vehicle units of automobiles. Since CAN communication will be applied from a second unit, you just need to send the DMX512 signal to first unit. CAN control provides for high-speed and low-noise communication.

Control via 3D CG applications or gArKaos VJ 3.6.1 DMXh & gLED Mapperh
You can control the 6 attributes of each unit via the popular 3D CG applications. By installing a dedicated plug-in, the color and height data of each pixel simulated in the 3D CG application will be converted to the DMX protocol and sent directly from your computer to g.imageh.
Alternatively, gArKaos LED Mapperh is also usable. ArKaos LED Mapper can send the video output played with gArKaos VJ 3.6.1 DMXh through the Ethernet port of a computer in the Art-Net protocol. The video output signal (VGA or DVI) will be converted to a DMX (Art-Net) signal in real-time without the need for using expensive hardware to convert a video signal into a DMX signal.
By setting the video (color) data with the ArKaos LED Mapper, and merging it with the height data set in the other console, you can produce 3D smooth moving objects with g.imageh. In addition, movie data in DVDs or video tapes can easily be projected to g.imageh easily using the ArKaos VJ DMX & LED Mapper.
